TOTAL HITS
Each graphic, javascript or other file is one hit. A surfer could visit your home page once and generate 25 hits if the home page has lots of files on it. So hits are a very inaccurage way to measure your traffic. The term is frequently used by sites trying to sell advertising because the numbers are always higher than the number of people visiting a site.
TOTAL PAGEVIEWS
Pageviews is what really counts. That's the number of pages or urls looked at by surfers. That's intuitively what we think of as a page, not the number of graphics, etc on a page.
TOTAL FILES SAVED BY CACHE
This is relevant. Some sites like AOL make a copy of frequently accessed pages so they don't have to keep re-accessing a particular page. This reduces logged Pageviews by your server because it can't count it when a surfer looks at a cached or saved page. So pages are being looked at but not being counted by your server.
TOTAL UNIQUE URLS
That's the number of pages or urls there are at your domain.
TOTAL UNIQUE SITES or TOTAL USER SESSIONS
An important number. It's the quantity of unique hosts accessing your server.
TOTAL UNIQUE AGENTS
That's the web browser type used by the surfer, for instance Internet Explorer or Netscape.
TOTAL UNIQUE REFERRER URLS
It tells you how the surfer found your site or what link they clicked on to find you. For instance, they found you through Yahoo or Google.
